The Museum of North Texas History debuted its children's area in early 2019. After years of parents' telling children, "don't touch," the Museum wanted an interactive exhibit for children, an area for play and learning with a focus on the varied history of North Texas. We think our exhibit meets this idea. The area provides children an opportunity to ride the cattle trail, fly the skies, and ride the railways of North Texas.
In 1987, City National Bank undertook a major renovation of its original 1919 downtown facility. The renovation included commissioning several watercolors. The watercolors depicted locations around Wichita.
With the end of City National Bank, the watercolors returned to downtown Wichita Falls and are displayed in the Museum of North Texas History.
Plan to come by and see this colorful exhibit.
